A busy month!

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I’ve posted here!  One busy month!  Along with several long work days, there’s been a couple of busy evenings and weekends.

And all that busy was for a reason … to make time for a wonderful week in Mesa, Arizona! A week in the beautiful warm desert enjoying time with great friends, some great food and wine and a little bit of Black Friday shopping!

My love of the desert began when we visited Las Vegas several years ago.  There is just something ruggedly beautiful about the desert! Here are a few pics I grabbed while we were out and about.

I happened to capture this fellow fly fishing while I was out taking pictures!  Lucky me!

The sky is usually pure blue, but I was lucky enough to capture a few shots of great cloud formations.

And the cacti???  This one and the first photo are just a few examples of the weird and wonderful desert foliage.

And then to top off a wonderful week, we spend a couple of hours at Taliesin West – Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Winter Camp” and home of the “Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture”. This is the second FLW home we’ve visited – read about our visit to his home and studio in Chicago here.

A wonderful city and state.  We are looking forward to visiting again!
